Climate Change

At one time, the majority of population believed the earth must be a flat surface. A tiny minority of people understood otherwise..

Is there big profits to be made from there being no man-made climate crisis?

If there really is man-made climate crisis, why is it that those who claim it, are some of the most prolific users of the earth's resources?
Yes, the oil companies. they are very rich and very persuasive, they will do whatever they can to convince people there is no climate problem.

The oil giants are doing their upmost to add doubt to the overwhelming scientific evidence - and those who love conspiracy theories can't get enough of if

You don't bother trying, you're driving around in a 30 year old diesel van
what are you going on about now?
for starters my van is not 30 years old and as far as producing greenhouse gases it is excellent, way better than most modern diesels and petrols

and when you say I don't bother trying - i had my house covered in solar panels and as far as my controllable environmental footprint goes, I am pretty close to net zero

Only if you ignore the environmental damage, not done in the UK, by the manufacture of the panels, the batteries, and the transport there of.

According to the forum dúnce, you are a hypocrite. Shame on you!

not ignored at all, yes there is an environmental cost in the production transport and fitting of solar panels, but it is way less than producing the electricity via gas or oil
It is estimated my 9kW system inc batteris the environmental payback is 2 - 3 years and system should last 20 years

Don't forget disposal at the end of life, the biggest carbon contribution.
is there ?
from what I can glean

Concerns exist, but they are manageable and already regulated.
AspectReality
Toxic waste❌ No
Recycling possible✅ Yes (90%+)
Infrastructure ready⚠️ Catching up
Long-term liability❌ Low
CO₂ impact✅ Negligible vs savings

And the biggest hypocrite of them all shows his brass neck.
He's off flying again in a couple weeks to pointlessly slide down a hill with some planks tied to his feet, and then guess what, he goes back up and slides down again. Then lectures the rest of us about man made climate change

seems to be 3 positions to take

understand what is happening and modify your lifestyle - this is what I do (a bit but not as much as i should)
understand what is happening and couldn’t care less - fair enough, I often wonder what the point is myself

and then

Believe non of it is true cause trump or the oil industry says so - these clowns live and breathe amongst us

They are on this forum, only fossil fuel industry funded Farage tells them it's not true, although they probably also hang on every word Trump says too.

Since Harry hasn't thought of these things he assumes no one has.
