The big problem with taking the knee is that you have to make it clear why you are doing it as it then get bundled in with the BLM movement which you may not want to associate yourself with.
Perhaps change the gesture to lowering your head? Unfortunately taking the knee in of itself is meaningless but it seems that it has become too toxic. It began with the NFL player and Trump saw it as a keen opportunity to foment division and it worked. The BLM movement co-opted the gesture in response to Trump continual disparaging of it.
Whatever the case maybe - all of this woke watch culture war needs to end and end now. People are upset over gestures when the hard part - getting over the pandemic has taken a back seat.
