Apparently that's what's happened yesterday in the EU with a migrant bill passed yesterday. Once they land every country has to take their fair share or risk being fined, which please a lot of people on the eastern side of the EU.

Yes, figures. We are trying to set up the Rwanda deal which is NOT being held up by the Rwandans. We are paying the French who are quite clearly not doing what they are being paid for. Can you see the difference?

It includes more than that. A defined time to process them and eject if appropriate. Also safe routes. It's taken a while to get member states to agree and the next stage is to reaffirm that end of how their set up works. That it seems should not be a problem. The general aim is to end economic migration unless they are wanted. The main problem might come when various countries hold elections again. Popularist ideas that mean breaking international laws or worse.
A common complaint here concerns economic migration.
