Anyone on here still pay roaming charges?

Perhaps this:

to "roam", you have to have both

- a deal with your UK provider, and
- your UK provider has to have an agreement with the provider at your destination.

So, while UK Gov could force UK providers to give you roaming as standard at their end, they can't force foreign providers to give you anything at all.

That's my guess, anyway.

And if my guess is right,

UK Gov would have been able to of course, when part of the EU............
That's about the size of the problem...

And in addition a deal would have to be done with every provider in the EU/EEA...

But the mention of the UK companies making extra profit is a valid one...

Just goes to show that the UK consumer was better off under the roaming rules before brexit whilst companies make more money...

It's almost as if that was what those lobbying for brexit were after ;)

That’s not even a bargain anyway. I pay £14 for our two phones with unlimited calls, texts, roaming and 20 times more data that we'll ever need or use.
Well boo hoo for you...

So what were you griping about anyway

Who needs unlimited data anyway
Plenty of people...

Of course many of those are ones you don't care about - the younger generations...

And as you said yourself, you were too thick to go to uni...

Well those who aren't so intellectually challenged find unlimited data takes the worry out of the equation when studying.

What f'cking problem? There. Isn’t. One. That's what I’m saying. (Although you’d like there to be one, wouldn’t you) Tough tittie. :ROFLMAO:

I see you’re still holding back in naming your airtime supplier. Just admit it man, you’re making up stories again!

SIL flew into Munich yesterday. EU passport 8 mins, UK passport 1 hour.

Pure Brexit shít.

Nothing to do with the thread but go on, now tell us it cost her a fortune to phone you up and tell you that because she doesn’t have an inclusive EU roaming contract…..

I’ve never had an issue abroad, always get a text saying how much data etc I’m allowed. I’m with O2

This time though, I got quite into Drive to Survive and used 25gb of data.

Cost me £30 to get through the month once home.

Now lets think if all those people with uk passports had been in the same EU Queue how long it would have took

The topic of this thread is about inclusive EU roaming, something many said we would be losing due to Brexit.
Yes, we have lost the legal protection the law provided. I now have two phones because I was paying roaming charges on one of them.

That has cost me more.

and the name of the provider of your contract that charges eu roaming is ?

It is a company contract through EE, personal calls are charged for. I have no way of changing it.
