Are Covid deaths being under reported in the UK?

Clearly nonsense when you can only get the disease once at a time.

It was an analogy to explain how more people catching a "milder", but more contagious, disease can lead to more deaths overall.

If you think of viral load being like bullets, then you can get the disease more than once at a time.

Get shot once and you might survive, get shot 1000 times, less likely.

Get a small dose of covid from one person you passed in the supermarket, your immune system will fight it. Get 20 small doses, your immune system might be overwhelmed.

A usual badly worded response from one of the uneducated bunch

"European regulators say giving COVID-19 booster shots too frequently may weaken immune response.

At a press briefing, experts from the European Medicines Agency (EMA) argued that COVID-19 booster shots should not be given too close together.

“We are rather concerned about a strategy that entangles repeated vaccination within a short term. We cannot really continuously give a booster dose every 3 or 4 months,” Marco Cavaleri, the head of Biological Health Threats and Vaccines Strategy at the EMA, said at the briefing.

“If we have a strategy in which we give boosters, let’s say every 4 months approximately, we will end up potentially having a problem with the immune response, and the immune response may end up not being as good as we would like it to be. So we should be careful in not overloading the immune system with repeated immunization,” Cavaleri added."

Yes, these are valid concerns, Fauci said similar early on. But they HAVE been looking very hard for an excess vaccine effect, and haven't found much sign, so far.

According to statistics me & my cat both have 3x legs.
According to statistics, and using your logic of collecting and interpreting data, you and your cat both have an IQ of about 53.
That's a damn smart cat!

Your ignorance would be embarrassing if you were not too ignorant to comprehend it.
Considering his IQ, by his logic, I think he's doing well to write a sentence.
I believe an IQ under 70 would be described as feeble mindedness.
Clinically, I understand it's described as moderate Intellectual Disability.

Still doesn't hold. DON'T think of viral load as like bullets - that's not a fit.
If everyone around you has flu, you still don't die of it unless you're very weak in the first place, then one dose would get you anyway.
Same with say chicken pox. If all you siblings have it, then you're more likely to get it, but you don't get a worse case.
Viral load has never been a good indicator of morbidity for covid.
It's what's in the disease and individual response that matters, not the amount of it you have.

Well, that's all very well. But, with omicron, hospitalisations are up, deaths are up. So something is going wrong.

These analogies are floating around like a virus.
The more people who have the virus the greater the likelihood of the more vulnerable also contracting it.

The natural immune system requires some time to recognise and prepare to fight the virus. Therefore a small viral load allows the immune system sufficient time to react. Whereas a heavy viral load can overwhelm the immune system before it has a chance to 'muster its forces'.

Viral load has never been a good indicator of morbidity for ovid.
I do not believe that is accurate. Hence the advice to have sufficient ventilation to reduce the potential 'viral load'.

Risk of Covid reinfection 16 times higher during Omicron wave, says UK’s ONS
Sarah Provan

The risk of reinfection with Covid-19 in the UK has been 16 times greater during the latest Omicron-driven wave than it was between May and December last year when Delta was dominant, an official infection survey has revealed.

Figures from December 20 to January 9 show how much the grip from the latest and more transmissible strain of coronavirus has tightened among the UK population compared with the period from May 17 to December 19, when Delta was dominant, the Office for National Statistics said on Wednesday.

“The rate of Covid-19 reinfections has increased, likely driven by Omicron,” said Sarah Crofts, head of analytical outputs for the Covid-19 infection survey. “The data also show that, in December 2021, people with Omicron-compatible infections were much less likely to report loss of taste or smell compared to those with Delta-compatible infections.”

Those previously infected were less likely to test positive in the fortnight ending December 31, compared with people who had not yet caught Covid-19, “however this effect was smaller than seen in the past”, the ONS survey found.

Unvaccinated were about twice as likely to be reinfected than those who had received a second jab 14 to 89 days earlier, figures from July 2 2020 to January 9 2022 showed."

438 UK covid deaths reported yesterday.

Almost halfway to 1000 a day again ... and we have a vaccine.

I would rather fight one little guy than a dozen little guys all at once. Virus's or virii are the same, a large dose, all at once can make you very ill or even kill you. A vaccine is a small dose of the weakened virus, to tune up your immune system - so it is ready to respond quickly, should the real thing come along.

That is what all the mask wearing, ventilation, meet out doors and 2m rules are all about, minimising the virus load your body is subjected to, the rules will not stop it completely, they will simply make it easier for you to fight it.

Is that how the Cov-19 vaccines work then???

You should speak with a few more virologists, 'cos the one you got is useless . . . .

It was recently reported in your MSM that the director of the CDC said that only 75% of those in hospital have comorbidities.

What he actually said was that 75% of those in hospital have 4 or more comorbidities. Your MSM have failed to mention that the other 25% are made up of people with 3 or more, 2 or more & 1 or more comorbidities.

Try to get the figure for those in hospital with ZERO comorbidities.

You formed an opinion that 25% don't have any comorbidities didn't you?

What else do you think they are misrepresenting to you?
