From personal experience, Me now EX in an argument threw her phone at my head, I said 'b1tch' and chucked a talking teddybear at her. She got this wooden dowel, maybe 6mm thick, 600mm long from the curtain set up we had and went to ram it into my face. I twisted and grabbed at the same time, took it from her and snapped it into 4 or 5 pieces. I was sitting down the whole time. She said she was going to call the police, I said 'fking call them then. She did. I was arrested and charged with assault by beating. Went to court, blah blah and £105 in total and record as a wife beater. YES, CPS are wrong and take an easy option. Had I had not been going through mental issues, I would have dragged it out. Being in the spotlight of the scum we call the press plus CPS on top put this little angel in heaven.
