Climate Change

he is claiming Milankovitch cycles are the cause of climate change. Whilst true, it seems that doesn't correlate with the last 200 years

he is claiming co2 rise follows temp rise. It doesnt seem to be based on any scientific data.

He doesn't provide any evidence to support that, it's just an opinion.

Yes - there is absolutely no doubt whatsoever we (as in us humans) have significantly altered our climate, 99+% of the scientists are not wrong

They predicted it and it is happening, their only mistake seems to have been how fast it would happen, they thought about a century to get to +1.5°C and we are already there 20 years from their warnings

They also predicted that beyond 1.5 degrees there would be a danger of 'tipping points' and when they happen it will be unstoppable and changes more rapid.

even without tipping points, it is on the way, humans are too greedy for the 'here and now' to ever reverse anything

We probably need to concentrate on living with it rather than wasting our time trying to stop it

"We".

And the generations that follow the "We"?

"A society grows great when old men plant trees in whose shade they know they shall never sit".

do you think there is a hope in hell that there is any realistic hope we can turn this around?

I don't, greed and exploitation is what truly defines Humans - that word "humanity" - it dose not fit very well with the definition given in the dictionary

The main problem is that we don't know how bad the consequences will be. But by the time we find out, it will be too late.

The generation that will suffer in fifty years from our failure to act today will have the benefit's of brexhit to look forward to (Ree-Smogg).

Do you think ****ting in our seas and rivers, depleting our finite resoures, poisoning our air, and killing other life at unprecedented rates is actually making things better for future generations of humans, let alone the rest of the planet?

If you do, you're stupid.

If you don't but intend to continue anyway, I'll stick with my previous assertion that you're a selfish c*nt (y)

In 50yrs time the list of catastrophic tipping points regarding the climate that never happened will be even bigger than it is today.

I've said in several different threads down the years here that each generation is out for what they can make in this world while they can make it and they don't GAF how they make it or what happens in the near future because they and their immediate family will all be dead in the next 50-75 years and what do they care?

They don't give a damn for the people left behind, even their future relatives.
