Covid still with us....

Drove past what was it local testing center today, and it's gone.

How do they know number of cases now that you have to pay for a test and no longer need to isolate (not go to work) of you have it?

North Korea appear to have a serious problem ???

they refused offers of the jab some
While back ???

Kim Jong-un will probably announce that he's developed the worlds best covid cure next week, and also solved the problem of starvation.

I'm a bit lost to where we really are in London, se England with the figures not being released daily.
It does not mean if it is not reported that it has gone away. However, the truth is even I forget at times and gov
knows this and praying that if it is not often reported most will forget.
I think I read a few days ago that around 300 people a day are still dying because of Covid in the UK.
I apologise if I've mis-read the figure etc but it was a lot, lot higher that I expected, therefore govs coverup
kind of is working

.

The testing results don't mean much any more and haven't for a while now. The figures that show a drop are from NOS sampling. They do this every week. Not totally sure but think the numbers have dropped from ~1 in 20 to ~1 in 15 which is still a lot of people. The actual numbers should be around some where.

I wonder how many are taking more care. Our vets went from no one goes in other than the animal. Wear a mask, don't and now go away if not wearing one. I still see people wearing masks in shops etc but more don't. The barriers in one shop for the assistants went and then came back.

Deaths seem to be cycling between 150+ to getting up to 300 a day. Weird.

Personally I can't see that this can be explained by anything other than changes in the level of care people take. Time will tell.

Hospital show the same sort of thing but ~250 to 350 / day being ventilated. Some in hospital with covid are being treated for something else. Ventilation is bound to be covid. Needing mechanical is bad news.

Personally I will be glad when I get my 4th jab - hopefully. 2nd hand info but people tend to get more of a reaction to them at some point. Seems it may put people off but it does mean that the body really is reacting to them. My son found that ~30 year old and had that experience with his 3rd. Can't say I did but had AZ for the first ones.

good to see an antivaxxer nutter falling back on contrived stories and fake news with an untrue headline.

shockingly, people in poor health who are very vulnerable to infections, are in poor health.

who'd have thought it?

not gassy.

In other news, he shows us that more than 60 times as many young unvaccinated people die, as vaccinated ones.

yeah 18 to 39year olds the unhealthiest part of our society what bit of the figures direct from national statistics do you not believe

silly gassy clinging to his fake story.

as everybody except gassy knows. covid vaccines were rolled out to priority groups, treating those at greatest risk first. Remember that?

a young person being treated in the early days, would have been one whose health was so poor that they were at great risk of death or serious illness.

gassy comments that small numbers of people in such poor health died from various causes, and pretends to think that the vaccine caused it.

Priority group 4 included:

"Clinically extremely vulnerable"
defined as:[95]

healthy young people were at the least risk, the last adults to be eligible, and so the last to be vaccinated.

group 12
all those aged 18 to 29 years

no wonder that their rate of death was lower than for the very sick and vulnerable.

Hear, hear, us too cant wait for the 4th jab but won't get it until late in the year. They may change it and that is worrying but as this covid evolves tis required I guess.

.

johnd the early days ? the data is up until end of jan this year so encompasses everyone not just the vulnerable but you carry on clutching at straws

Kim, I think the greater disaster is the way you run your country and treat your citizens ;)
