EU PPE procurement scheme

Wrong
it is entirely to the point

you said this is a 'global pandemic, not the govts fault', I said (quite correctly) it was the govts fault, they were too slow and made wrong decisions.

You're saying the global pandemic is the fault of our Tory Govt?, stretching it mate, even by your standards.

The shortage of PPE is nobodies fault, it's the result of overwhelming demand and, make no mistake being used by the Chinese to their advantage. You and Gal held up the EU as a shining example and ridiculed our govt for not joining the EU procurement scheme, quite clearly stating that as the reason for our shortage of PPE whilst the eu were more than adequately supplied. (despite me pointing out that France had even hijacked lorries of PPE bound for the UK)

It now transpires that Doctors in France and Germany are protesting about the lack of PPE, you were wrong, as was Gal, grow up and accept the fact.

It would be interesting to know if there are any differences between the recommended levels for Germany and the UK. Otherwise the premise of the thread, that the UK is doing no worse than the EU, is baseless.

Hahahahaha

The Germans are protesting because they are still not lowering the requirements like the UK - look at how PHE lowered the requirements and how many updates they have made.

Defending the indefensible.

A group of German doctors have posed naked in an attempt to draw attention to shortages of protective clothing and equipment.

Calling their protest Blanke Bedenken, or Naked Qualms, members of the group said they felt at risk from coronavirus and claimed their calls for help over several months had gone unheeded.

Ruben Bernau, a GP in the group, told the Ärztezeitung that he and his practice team were insufficiently equipped to deal with the virus. “The nudity is a symbol of how vulnerable we are without protection,” he said.

You do like to makep lies. First about the EU not conceding then about Cummings.

Release Operation Cygnus report then. Or why bury the report about the need for visors.

The EU procurement scheme is a framework agreement so that once signed it is upto each Gov to decide how much equipment they want from the suppliers who are committed to supply in the volumes agreed.

Hijacked lorry -wow now that was a busted lie you keep on repeating.

Tell me how many Drs have died in Germany from covid?

If the suppliers are Chinese they're committed to nothing, the consignee can change before the plane leaves the runway if a better offer is received.
EU procurement scheme LMAO.

So you are now just making rubbish up as usual.

Sad little man.

The shortage of PPE is nobodies fault
plenty of UK businesses have offered the government PPE

for example one guy whose business is importing stuff from China -he has NHS procurement contacts, he offered substantial amounts of PPE to them and despite the fact he kept chasing them, nobody could make a decision. He ended up selling the stuff to Portugal and other European countries -and this went back to before the lockdown.

and there are lots of examples like this around.

so yes, PPE shortages are the govts fault.

Notchy as usual,,mixture of contradicting himself and cannot make his mind up.Then denying he ever said it!

Typical deflection and denial. Their reasoning goes it's a pandemic so Gov cannot do anything and are absolved of any culpability. Still shaking hands when the first deaths had already occurred. It happened recently - ah well we had flooding it was an act of God so you cannot blame us, perhaps if you had invested in flood defences.

The blue bots on here will sacrifice their first born to defend their party.
