Holy Smoke

Already addressed, but, as usual, our Latin friend Per Capita got left out of the discussion.

Also left out of the discussion was the fact that most alcoholic drink is taken for refreshment and without the intention of getting drunk, whereas cannabis, heroin etc are taken ONLY to become intoxicated.

Over to you Odds...

refreshed, you say...

I was undecided on whether to put this here or in 'And Another One', because it features drugs AND acid-throwing immigrants.

A murder involving 320kg of cannabis, the drug of peace. How many of you here bought some of that batch? And do you realise you are part of this murder and violence?

Breaking news: Spineless misses the point - again!

Cannabis doesn't cause violence.

Put 'Tales from Topographic Oceans' on your record player (old school) and light up an uplifting bifter to banish the blues while the tunes lift you up into an uplifted state of mind.

Listen to Slayer on full volume with headphones while driving and you'll have a completely different effect.

Cause and effect.

If you look at the type of people who would use cannabis, it is an illegal drug and the users will more likely to exhibit anti social behavior and be violent types, it makes sense that you can assume cannabis and violent behavior go hand in hand.

It is a logical fallacy.

Taken from an article in the Daily Mail

People who regularly smoke cannabis are almost three times more likely to commit a violent offence as those who abstain from the drug, new research has found.

Scientists involved in a landmark study of almost 300,000 teenagers and young adults believe that over time, prolonged cannabis use profoundly alters the brain, making the user less able to control their temper.

In addition, the research found addicts may also suffer from withdrawal symptoms, making them irritable and prone to lashing out.

You're wasting your time. You'll never convince potheads they'd be better off not smoking the stuff. We're wrong, they're right.

As an aside, was watching a news thing a few days back and the police were saying drug driving is now a bigger issue than drink driving (I know they're all drugs but you get the point). He mentioned the stats re how many drivers (per 100 on the roads) are driving under the influence of drink and drugs. The latter was a fair bit higher.

It all depends on whether you use them wisely or allow them to stupidly rule you.
