As the construction industry really picks up there's an increasing shortage of good site Plumbers. Site Plumbers here in Scotland are being offered rates in excess of £18/hour books-in.

With many firms now looking at a full order books for the coming 12-18months it's now time to tell wee Johnny to forget about Uni & get themselves a Plumbing apprenticeship......

Perhaps its all the elf & safety rubbish putting people off?

Thats the only good thing about all these chancers flooding the market the last 5 years, a good plumber\heating fella is worth his weight in gold. It will only get better as more chancers get found out and people won't want them on site\ in their houses.

Hey Dean refrain from putting 'plumber/heating fella' in the same sentence , a good plumber will pizz all over a heating/gas bod.

Certainly I've not come across any course cowboys on sites for about three years, they're just not up to it & you need loads of experience to be a good house basher Deano auld son. Most firms will not start course cowboys.

Maybe their parents/grandparents have told them it`s a Boom/Bust politically messed with industry . The only benefit that comes with it is the £ saving on doing up your own house ,IF you can get one . That`s how it is in the Tory S.E. ( very near to Lewes Bonfire and it`s effigies  )
