I saw quite a few women wearing full burkas, no eye slit walking around an arab quarter of Bangkok. So they basically had a piece of black cloth totally covering their face, some wore glasses, which were on the outside. Cant be much fun, seeing the world through a black fabric. At the time it was 38deg and about 80% humidity.

It's well known, body language and facial expressions are a large part of communication. But oh yeah, of course you know better than the experts. I guess that's why 'facetime' apps are so unpopular..

So leave it as a freedom of choice.
When proving one's identity is required, it is reasonable to ask women to prove who they are when producing photographic ID, e.g. licence, passport, etc.
When one is merely proving one's eligibility, by producing something like a utility bill, etc, there is no requirement for anyone to prove their identity because there is no photographic ID with which to compare the person.

What have you done to. My thread. I had no intension of it being about women covering their faces. There's two other threads about that.
