I don't see how having more police officers stops three murdering pieces of scum running people down and then murdering random people.

Even if you had an armed officer on every street by the time the vehicle has started to mow pedestrians down it's too late (and how do you know the difference between an accident and an attempt at mass-murder?)

How would more police cope with the threat and carnage that we are currently seeing?
MI5 have a list of suspects and they failed to round them up. Every time an atrocity is committed they admit that the perpetrators were on their radar.
So how exactly would more police be beneficial?
