Just how many ways, and by how many people, do you and bazdaa have to be told that "Part P" is the name of part of the Building Regulations, and not the name of a qualification?

I thought my analogy would help you to understand, but clearly this is something else that confuses you.

BAN go stuff yaself.

I can now see that your in this for the wind up. So please dont try an drag me back into this. Si forget about him, he has issues which he needs to address.

by the way, I'm not a part p self certifying spark either. Notify LBC before starting any Part P notifiable work.

Please dont.

You'll only get some long arsed post from BAS. Hhhmmm whats he then?

no sparks serious i think perhaps the councils might find it hard to find the oficcers to pass the work , if they are to be fully qualified eletricians . Or will the bco go on 5 day courses?

Sory.
Something definately needed doing.
Part P sadly in its present form has not answered it.
Personally I would put Ban and a few folk on the IEE forum in charge of stuff .
Not the NIC.
Something needed doing. Something has been started.
Something now needs changing.
I had to register because of the work I do.
Some good has come of it already.
More folk have decent test equipment.
More folk have an incling how to test & inspect & record.
More folk have a grasp of the basics.
The NIC don`t rule anymore.
Yer can still do yer own electrics.
Something needed doing.
We can`t rely on Ban forever, he might have a day off.
I wish He`d go back to stress/carrier remark rather that that foreign stuff I can`t understand thouh
