I beg your pardon ,

you have ?

If true can YOU Not save the marriage , !!!!!

I have started preceedings, yes.

Of course you appreciate these things are complicated, too much and too private to go into here. Suffice to say it isn't my 'fault'.

Bondville Model Village near Bridlington on Saturday, and then a stroll into town. Ride on the dodgems, some chips and then a mile-run back to the car park when I realised it was shutting in twelve minutes. Half hour spent wheezing.

Car Boot Sale, York Railway Museum and up the new big wheel on Sunday.

Reclaimed the gravel drive from the encroaching lawn today. Brilliant job - drive is about 3 foot wider than before and looks boss.

About to sit in the garden with a large G&T..... :D

EDIT - this thread seems to have taken a turn for the gloomy whilst I was typing that....

Nah. I'm a 36 year old Essex boy who's lived in Yorkshire for about half that time (not that that makes me belong, as I'm often reminded). Got three boys aged 6, 4 and almost one who dictate what I do of a weekend.

Was also pretty much the first time I've run since moving North, so mrs_t and the boys were convinced they'd find my body on the clifftop as they followed me up to the car. It actually took about 20 minutes so, bizarrely, I appear to run slower than I can walk !!!

(Also had a debate with the 'computer says no' woman at Homebase about my leaky lawnmower, but I'll spare you the details).

Recovering from Hole-in-the-Head surgery......

But I'm well enough to wish you ATB. I've been there once (in 1992), and want to wish you enough strength to carry it through.

Now, I'm sure there's lots here that are saying "never mind wishing him well for his divorce, how about helping him to save his marriage?", but, from my experience at least, I knew that I had tried every which way to save my relationship and divorce for me was the very last desperate straw.

If you have children and can face it, it is very important that you sit down together and explain (in languague appropriate to their age) that you love them very much, that they are not to blame for what has happened, and whatever happens between you (ie partners), you will always love them.

You must try and do this together, and focus on the kids, and not let personal differences into the conversation, or bickering to break out.

If you are leaving, explain to them that you will arrange regular visits/ stays for them.

Good luck.

Friday night - I had a few jars down the local with a few mates, and then an early night.

Saturday - I was up at 5.30am for a day out down to the 'big smoke'. We got to play on the buses and underground, crossing from north to south west London. Went to Twickenhan, watched the Rugbly League Challenge Cup Final. More playing on the underground, and then back up north just in time for last orders :D

Sunday - Had a lie in, and went out in the evening for a meal to celebrate my sisters birthday.

Monday - Not a lot, Working this afternoon.

We got to play on the buses and underground,
