I think it's fair enough to wonder why this case gets so much attention from the authorities. Thousands of British people and children have gone missing over the years both abroad and in this Country but they don't get a fraction of the resources and time spent on them. Is it just because of the publicity, and if so why does this one get the publicity others do not?

the mccanns didn't leave a child openly available for paedo scum, it was a fairly typical relaxed family holiday scenario.
To be fair, earlier today, my youngest went off up the street on his scooter, then unbeknown to me went round his mate's back garden.... what if a neighbour grabbed him over the fence.... ? would I face the rough justice of joe? the unrealistic analysis of a situation from a completely alien context...
The mccanns deserve to utmost respect until proven guilty...
