first find an image - plenty free stuff on internet if its non commercial

convert these into DXFs
make one to cut out the body, then a one with multiple lines to cut out the recess

then burn them out, I have used teak hear that I have cut to 3mm thick

the recess is cut out marginally smaller to get a tight fit

then use a router to get as close to the edge as I dare and just under 3mm deep

then finish off with a sharp chisel - the laser has created a very definite edge to chisel up to

then whack it in and hope for the best,

not that long ago I cut out some keel stuff for someone making a wooden ship from a kit, some bits were damaged and I recreated them out of hardwoodSlick, very slick. Out of boredom I've recently built a couple of wooden ships from kits and the frames for the hull and keel were all laser cut, great technology'
