Meat free this morning. Should have harvested that early asparagus spear that popped up over the allotment yesterday. 
Just my usual coffee, toast and marmalade - but I have decided to add a dish of Lidl caramel instant porridge. 180ml of milk, 90 seconds in the microwave, stir, then another 60 seconds, then scrape it off the interior of the microwave.
Eternal Beau. Haven’t seen that for years. We had a whole collection of it once.
I called in to the allotment on my way home from my dog walk this morning and harvested part of my breakfast. One early asparagus spear! Went down well - poached with an egg on wholemeal toast. I can’t wait for the official UK asparagus season to start.
Veggie fry up this morning.
Was still full from last nights massive Spag Bol so just a banana, marmalade on toast and coffee this morning.

Got through my Aldi shreddies and I am now on Lidl's version. Not impressed at all. Same size pack and price as Aldi's but nowhere near as tasty or crunchie (turns to mush quickly) and they seem very pale compared to the other two. I think I would prefer to shell out over 4 times the price for proper Shreddies if SWMBO doesn't go back to Aldi.

I agree. Aldi's cereals are very edible, all things considered.
I think Lidl's Greek yog is much nicer though. It's made by Muller.

They can't call it Marmalade, as it is not made in the same way. Fruit spread is sweetened without using sucrose.
Gotta say, it might be produced by scoundrels but it’s a lot tastier than our locally produced equivalent. I can just barely taste the Ginger in the local stuff.

Lidl is a 10 minute walk, Aldi is a 15 minute drive.
