What are you having for lunch?

A chicken salad sandwich; lettuce, radish slices and cucumber with a layer of sandwich spread on one slice to give it zing. Found a jar on offer recently and it's a memory of the Summer of '76 in every bite.

A lovely pastrami sandwich. On white bread with Dijon mustard and mayo. But this time I put it in the microwave for ten seconds. It was really yummy!

you m.waved a sandwich - why?

Just to have warm meat. It was really nice. I sometimes do it with beef sandwiches as well. I've just Googled, and apparently pastrami sandwiches are meant to be best when warm. This is a really easy way.

A bacon and egg sandwich on toasted, crusty bread, buttered one side, sauced the other.
And tea. Obvs.

A pub meal out, yesterday evening, followed once back home, by orange jelly, cream, and ice-cream. The latter, filled with tinned mandarin oranges, from Lidl - Lidl's mandarin oranges, in the past, have been fairly dire, but recent ones are top-notch, so while they are so good, we've been stocking up on them.

I feel the need...

...the need to feed!
A double eggy-bacon muffin will do the trick. Smothered in smoky tomato sauce.

Nom.
Nom.
Nom.

Oh yeah.

These are really nice from Sainsburys. I prefer them room temperature rather than heated, so I get it out of the fridge for a couple of hours beforehand.
