You're always looking for excuses to cop out of helping...They are talking about this on BBC breakfast right now. An expert on this says there are a whole raft of considerations to be put in place before taking on such a commitment that could be for 12 months or more - just as I was saying. It's not like putting someone up temporarily for a couple of nights. They are also saying it can't just be a spur of the moment token gesture.
If you don't have the space then fair enough, but you haven't said that is the case for you...
It's apparently going to be a 6 month commitment, but the full details have been delayed as usual...

We'll hopefully soon see if it is just political posturing or hopefully not!
As for 'spur of the moment', then we are in an emergency situation and many will want to help...
Not all will be suitable, but it's better to make use of all available resources than leave people in refugee camps...
We have money, so they wouldn't be a burden on the state. And we'd rather give direct help as opposed to chuck dosh at a so-called charity where you have no idea of what they will do with it. Although the UK state should be helping out given the amount politicians/political parties have received through dirty money over the years!
But hey, as regards those 'considerations'...
Maybe you could request squeaky clean, house trained, DBS checked, polite refugees who would like a tipple at breakfast
