Your feelings for your cats is not pathetic.

Your assumption that the bond between a parent and child is the same is; and the fact that you think your prayers for your poorly cat are more effective than those of an anguished parent at the side of their dying child.

As I said, as a parent, and former cat owner, I find that attitude abhorrent.

whilst I understand that better than anyone else, that a bond between a parent and his own blood child is going to be indeed very strong, but given a choice between pets and your own children, I am sure any parent including me if I had children, it would be to try to save their own child first then their pets, or animals, in my case I don't have to make that choice, my cats are my children, but people do not understand that my bond with my cats is just as strong as theirs with their children.

My ex boss once asked me a tricky question, when i had some argument with my brother who worked for my boss, we had an argument and I ended up lashing him up! after the argument settled down, my boss called me into his office to discipline me,

My Boss said being as he is my brother i should not have lashed him, he is my own blood!

Mt boss then asked me what would I do if his son who is of the same age as my brother were both drowning, who would I save first?

I replied who ever was closest!

But he didn't agree, he said I would definitely save my brother first!

You'd best tell me where this extremely cheap veterinary practice is. £5 for a consultation and 28p for a course of tablets Crikey, I'd have to ask my great grandad if he can remember those prices.

It is an Animal Trust and their initial consultation fee is £15.00 and follow up £5.00 plus cost of all medicines. Typically a consultation can be anything up to 15 minutes on average, the snag is it is always packed and you could be in the que for about an hour, still beats NHS, I also donate extra money each time I visit, as they also treat pets of those who can't afford to be ripped off by private vets, whose heart is not towards animal welfare but towards their bank accounts.

Celia Hammond Animal Trust is a registered Charity, it rescues stray and abandoned animals, neuters them and places them back where they are found or homes those that can be, most irresponsible people abandons their pets after their children grow old, they buy kittens to entertain their children, and once done, they abandon those pets, those bastards should be shot dead!

They leave these poor animals in cold, or in extreme heat in cardboard boxes to die a slow painful death! Celia hammond rescue team goes around rescuing such abandoned animals, cats seen with wounds, limping away, after fights with dogs and pack of hungry and vicious foxes, cats shot by humans with air rifle, with missing tails hacked off by kids, or run over by cars, often left abandoned by busy roadside, when you see how much cruelty these abandoned animals suffer, or humans subjects them to, you will know why I have no respect for humans.

they also have a zero euthanizing policy towards all animals they rescue, unlike RSPCA who euthanize animals when they can no longer shelter more, whilst CHAT tries to find foster homes, people taking cats and dogs for a short term whilst new homes are being found, they have hundreds of volunteers, at some stage i plan to become one.

Once again, we agree. I have nothing but hatred for such people and, given the chance, I'd see to it that they suffered exactly the same fate as their animal-victims.

I have to keep reminding myself that there are also some decent people about.

Why is there so many callous ******* about who can't take a dog to a compound when they don't want it anymore?

Someone dumped a (non chipped) dog near me in a confined box with the lid weighted down with concrete blocks.
She had eight pups whilst in the box and was in there for a number of days before a passer by made the discovery.

Can I answer this one, I donate ziltch to childrens charities for the starving masses! You feed them, they multiply, then they cut down the forest and kill the tigers and elephants, the human race is not on the endangered species list, if you give them the hand outs they expect of you you are only compounding the problem..
