wonder if President Macron's sister is provided with a palace, limousines, and a generous stipend

Well if you prefer a president which would cost more, thats up to you.

Fortunately, we don’t have to go far across to the continent to get a fair comparison on cost with a republican model. The President of France, whose role is very similar to that of Her Majesty, cost French taxpayers a whopping £91 million. For the privilege of paying almost three times as much as the UK, France gets to forgo the pageantry and ceremonies, engagements and grand receptions that come with Monarchy, and they get a politician too

So you like president Macron?
I guess you approve of his big tax cuts to the super rich. Quite a few have moved to Paris this year to enjoy thier tax savings :ROFLMAO:

Macron: hero of the rich.
But hey, thats fine, as long as he is a president and not a King (y)

I don't think you are comparing like with like.

I don't know if that's true but then - neither do you know it isn't.
Apparently France is very open about the cost whereas Britain is not.

And, of course, Macron does not have billions from ill-gotten gains.

Which figures are you using?

Have you taken the crown estate into account?

Of course having a moan up on a forum about the royals, stops em dead in their tracks
Nope, but at least I don't kowtow to anyone ;)

Being ambivalant towards the royals isnt an indication of being inferior.
Since you tolerate their elitist existence, by default you accept an inferior status...

You just haven't realised it yet

Ha ha, what a rubbish argument.

If you think that, then your outlook on life is one with a chip on your shoulder :ROFLMAO:

It clearly bothers you a lot that some people hold a privileged position, they must give you a feeling of inferiorirty.

It bothers me not one bit and I certainly dont consider them better, different, worse or anything else.

Those that complain bitterly about the royals seem to gloss over the fact that the alternative doesnt come for free.

I am deeply unhappy with being a "pleb" I have absolutely no issue with any individual royal (must be an awful life) but I do have serious misgivings about the concept of monarchy.

...but they do.

They used to consider it a divine right - to hoodwink all you peasants.

If they still do, then they have even less right to be in that position.
