Academic achievements aren't proof of intelligence.

Some of the brightest people I know are tradesmen. Mind you some of the thickest people I know are tradesmen too.....

Builders and carpenters need spatial awareness and organisational skills

Heating engineers and electricians need analytical and diagnostic skills.

I don't see teachers, lawyers, accountants as being more intelligent than tradesmen. It's different intelligence, most tradesmen couldn't stand working at a desk.

Cervical cancer is mostly caused by HPV, for which there's now a vaccine. It should reduce the rate of it dramatically as it covers the PHV strains that cause 70% of it. It also covers a few other cancers and genital warts, which is nice.

Again, not how it works. Also by that logic no one should die from Measles as everyone's ancestors probably had it at one time or another.

There is the MenACW vaccine. Meningitis B, which is the really dangerous one is covered as part of the 8 week batch. There's loads of strains so it's possible he caught one that wasn't covered, he wasn't vaccinated because it was introduced after he passed that age group (so never had the vaccine) or because his parents chose not to. Or it could be that the vaccine wasn't perfect, which is common, but that it was the difference between him living or dying. That last part is virtually impossible to tell at an individual level for what it's worth. You need to do big phase 3/4 trials to work that out.
