Our entire family started taking Vitamin D in March / April - 5,000iu per day - the results were dramatic - within 2 weeks - 8 years of my father's knee pain went away - my friend's backache reduced by 80% in 2 weeks as well. Many videos on YouTube about the link

Dr Fauci who is now 80 years old said to be taking 6,000iu per day himself.

I believe the UK Government is only going to give people 400iu per day - in the USA this is the RDA for children .. I've spent many months researching Vitamin D - my research points to 400iu being such a low dose it's meaningless.

As an example one of the men on a Vitamin D group I belong to measured his Vitamin D Levels at the start of October and took 1,000iu per day for 30 days - he then retested and found his Vitamin D levels reduced by 30%

Warning: in excess vitamin D is toxic. So don't overdo it.

Give a number to your TOXIC Statement - the only account I could find of a Toxic dose was a man that took 500,000iu per day for 6 months - when he was given a super high dose by mistake after he went to compound chemist - he stopped taking it and was fine after.

And were levels "too low" in the sense that they caused a harmful effect?

I don't quite understand your question .. People with Low Vitamin D much more likely to get sick from Flu type diseases - Flu Season is basically low vitamin D season - when people who live in places like the UK make virtually no Vitamin D from the sun.

Vit D also helps reduce COVID risks.

Yes my research points to the same conclusion

There have been studies that show excess vitamin supplements lead to worse outcomes. Most vitamin pills are just a way of making your **** more expensive.

Vitamin D is one of the few exceptions where there is actual evidence showing its useful. But I'd want a scientist to tell me what the right dose is and to identify if there are negatives from excessive volumes.

The "RIGHT DOSE" is not universal - depends on your age, how much body fat you're carrying, how much high fructose corn syrup you consume, if you take cholesterol lowering medication, your skin colour, etc.

One thing for sure is 400iu for a fully grown adult is pretty much useless for most adults living in the UK from now until April 2021 when the UVB Radiation Index is somewhere between 0 to 2.
