Maybe they think society has not 'changed' substantially if at all.
Racism, like most things is subjective.
What we today would consider outright blatant and disgusting racism, would pass as slight prejudice in the past.
As each successive generation experiences racism, it is just as raw as the massive injustice meted out to slaves in the past.

It is not until racism is eradicated that those who experience racism day in, and day out, will agree that society has changed for the better.
It might appear to the average person that racism is little and infrequent. But to those that experience it on a daily, hourly basis, it is no better than it's ever been.

If you substitute sexism for racism, and compare what was acceptable in the past, with what is blatant sexism today, you get an idea of how things have changed, but only in comparison to what has happened decades ago.

What happened last week, last year, is little different to what is happening today.

For me they have shot themselves in the foot; Prior to BLM I never gave heed to any ones skin colour, couldn't care less, we're all in the same boat as far as I'm concerned. But since BLM I am starting to think of black people as people who whinge constantly about everything, I am so bored with hearing how they think they're being put onto by every body and everything all of the time. The race card gets played at any and every moment they don't get their own way, it is tedious and deeply boring. Life is bloody hard for everyone regardless of skin colour, if you don't work dam hard you don't get anywhere, its as simple as that for 99.9% of us! Skin colour doesn't come into it, plenty Asians, particularly Indian & Chinese do very well in the uk, and the best of luck to them they work hard and deserve to do well.

Of course my comments may very well be unfair to the majority of black people, to be honest the group that seems to be doing most of the whinging on their behalf is the predominantly white looney left who I suspect just like hyping it all up to get at the county they hate - Great Britain.

Not wanting so many people to be needlessly killed is a pretty low bar. Not an unreasonable objective. You call it "whingeing?" There are plenty of other things black Americans could grumble about. Did you know Black perinatal mortality in US is double the White rate?
