For the first time in history the actions of the unvaccinated are more important to the vaccinated than anything else.

Yep, we are very lucky to have it available to us and free. All anyone needs to do in the UK, is claim it. Others are not so lucky..

People need to start coming to terms with the fact that this virus can't be avoided and constant reporting of numbers of infections and variants is pointless and just exaggerates the seriousness. Switching the focus to stress on hospitals and severe consequences for individuals will be a good start and people can then decide for themselves if they want to take action to protect themselves or take their chances. It will become normalised, might as well start the ball rolling now.

thats a good point

Ive never understood why the focus has been on numbers of infections and death rates

testing rates vary so much between regions and countries the total numbers arent much use

in any case the virus travels around regions at different times -peaks arent the same, so timeline comparisions are tricky to be meaningful


hospitalisation numbers are pretty useful I think -although even then, you cant compare a vaccinated person having 24hours in an acute ward with an unvaccinated person spending 10 days in ICU

Or a vaccinated person getting the virus and dying ,or an unvaccinated person getting barely any symptoms.

Having knowledge of cases like these is necessary for people to decide whether to take the vaccines or not. As is well known I am completely sceptical about covid and its vaccines, but even the most pro-vaccine person, if he is reasonable and honest, must realise that suppressing information about ill-effects of the vaccines is deceitful.
