Sure is. One could argue that her unwiilingness to speak to them about it was sexist and assumes some kind of expected stereotypical behaviour from them.

I like the bit where it says 'in his defense, Mr Merret says he only saw poppy from the back and never saw her face' underneath a picture of him looking a bit embarrassed.
 
Not one to miss out on a photo opportunity either is she. She will probably appear on 'Good Morning' and 'Lorraine' then go into a modelling career or perhaps publish a book about it.

I'm undecided on this though. I'm sure no one meant her any harm or to upset her in any way but I can understand that if it did bother her, it would make her journey past them every morning an unpleasant one.

Instead of calling the police she should have asked to see the site foreman with the threat of calling the police if it didn't stop. I'm sure a word from him would have stopped it.

In some North African countries women endure actual groping and a more physical harassment. Some women are actually flattered by this. Bet she will be craving it in few more years when her looks are fading.

I have just read more about this story and apparently she did write to the company to complain and nothing was done about it and one of the builders actually stopped her from walking past. So I now believe she did do the right thing by going to the police.
 
It's a case of sexual equality gone mad.

If members of this forum were faced with wolf whistles from a bunch of female builders onsite, it would make their day.

I don't get it.

Phone the police??? Far too busy dealing with stuff that matters.

She says she contact the police and the building firm on the same day. And the incident she describes is of a builder walking out in front of her and saying morning love. not blocking her path.

I've never done the whole shouting from scaffold thing but dont see the harm IF the woman is game for responding with a bit of banter. If she's not looking for an interaction then I agree she should be left to walk in peace.

I do think the girl in the article is looking for a bit of fame and the things she describes arent terrible.

Could guess that she gave the complaint to police and company the same day because the story would not have been as sensational if the company had just got it stopped.
