£1bn to rule the country

"Why is it when the Government needs £1.5 billion for a bribe to allow it to cling to power, the money can always be found?"

"In any other walk of life, the Tories would have just committed a criminal act of bribery."
The DUP has always been committed to Brexit so what was the "bribe"for then.
If the support of the DUP helps facilitate a smoother and quicker exit from the EU then the "bribe" should be a good investment when you consider the UK pays the EU around £9 billion a year.

 Exactly

T.he way some go on u would think that the DUP have only just appeared or come into existence

fact is they have been governing NI in a coalition with others for years.

Some in here are merely using it as an excuse to promote there agenda.

The hypocrits ;):)

As long as it keeps corbyn out of power its a bargain.
Come the next election it will probably be needed again. Left wing fascists are the last thing we need ruling us.

You mean there is a sword of Damocles hanging over the head of the republicans to backpedal their opposition to their objections to the DUP's position, or the money will be spent according to the flights of fancy of the Tories and the DUP, and the republicans will be denied an opinion?
What about the 1000's of protestants who live in constituency's with a Sinn Fein MP who doesn't take their seat in Parliament , don't they have a right to have their opinions heard.

Bribe

A bribe is illegal & a criminal offence if u have evidence of a bribe then bring it to the attention of the authorities

You mean the fake news was mentioned on the radio, so it must be true.
You will notice that no mention was made as to who initiated those "conversations":

There is no need to reveal the details of a deal that was never made, especially if it was never made.

But it does demonstrate how the DUP will include blackmail and smear campaigns in its political manoeuvres.

The 2010 to 2015 period was particularly troublesome for the DUP.

Apparently they are currently holding secret talks with Labour and LibDems:

The Ulster Resistance was never founded as a terror group, it was founded to campaign politically against the Anglo Irish agreement, this included street protests, when the DUP discovered that some members of the Ulster Resistance were involved in the illegal importation of arms they immediately severed all links with the organisation.

assume that is in response to him again ;)

What he knows about it u could write on a postage stamp with a paint brush :)

If I recall he stated a good while back that he had some type of inside knowledge to the DUP. imho a habitual porkie pier

Oh yeah, that is why they armed themselves, and robbed banks:
The group collaborated with the Ulster Volunteer Force (UVF), Red Hand Commando (RHC) and the Ulster Defence Association (UDA) to procure arms. In June 1987 the UVF stole more than £300,000 from the Northern Bank in Portadown. The money was used to buy 206 VZ. 58 assault rifles, 94 Browning 9mm pistols, 4 RPG-7 rocket launchers and 62 warheads, 450 RGD-5 grenades and 30,000 rounds of ammunition which arrived at Belfast docks from Lebanon in December 1987.

Get real!

when the DUP discovered that some members of the Ulster Resistance were involved in the illegal importation of arms they immediately severed all links with the organisation.
Do not be so ridiculous. The DUP initiated the UVF.
The group was launched at a three thousand-strong invitation-only meeting at the Ulster Hall. The rally was chaired by the Democratic Unionist Party (DUP) Press Officer Sammy Wilson and addressed by party colleagues Ian Paisley, Peter Robinson and Ivan Foster. Also on the platform was Alan Wright, the chairman of the Ulster Clubs. The launch rally was followed by a number of similar assemblies across Northern Ireland.
At a rally in Enniskillen, Peter Robinson announced: "Thousands have already joined the movement and the task of shaping them into an effective force is continuing. The Resistance has indicated that drilling and training has already started. The officers of the nine divisions have taken up their duties."

It was only when the connection was evident that the DUP pretended that they were not associated with UVF.

They do, but it's Sinn Fein that are to blame for that, and if the people are daft enough to vote for them, knowing they won't take their seats, then they either support the protest, or aren't bothered to have their view heard.
