Yes, sorry. I should have said immune @ 500V.
Yeah the 1000V was accidental and I realistically wouldn't expect it to survive, he had been chasing a funny fault which needed the higher voltage and forgot to turn it back down. But I'd think 500V is pushing the luck on SMPS's too, many of those caps are rated at 250 to 275V AC which is 355 or 390V peak
