Can Covid vaccine stop the spread.....

No chance, haven’t you seen the news - we're leaving the EU in December. Only the other Europeans will be asked that by the Germans.
Well for the very thick, that reads 'papers please'...

For the very very thick, I know what it means and I am referring to when the Germans rule the EU and will be asking 'papierre bitte' to any European as they once used to.

Amazing how that term is being applied to anyone not willing to be a lab rat...

But you go ahead and put your arm where your mouth is (y)

I'm priority 10/10 I'll have it when its my turn.

I'd be amazed if it's not mandatory for international travel.

You're probably right on the demographics, but even with a smaller fraction of the vulnerable groups refusing the Vaccine could be at greater overall risk when social distancing stops if Covid-19 is still in heavy circulation.

Thats entirely up to them. Its their life. If however the vaccine stopped people producing Covid then it might be slightly different..

Once the vaccine is out there - I for one won't be socially distancing because a few people would rather take the risk. Lockdown, social distancing etc. Its not consequence free.

Darwinism in action. Downside?

Anti-vaxxers. IMO, the term should only be used for ideological opponents to vaccines, who spread nonsense and ridicule those in favour. People who are not personally convinced/are at risk/are not bovvered, are not in that group.

Me: sleeve is up already.
The downside is time to deliver the Vaccine. It won't be overnight, it'll probably be the best part of 6 months before the first wave of vaccines are fully given out. That leaves a big gap where the most vulnerable aren't all covered but where there's a huge pressure to discard all controls.

Those anti Vaxxers will be additional kindling on the fire.

Still wave 2. But jan/feb will be peak here. Hopefully enough over 75s will have had the vaccine to chip the top off the peak. It’s the AZ vaccine announcement due in the next week or so that will really change the game.

Your choice...

I wonder how many of those above you will have the luxury of choice?

Edit:
"The UK's world-first Covid-19 vaccine rollout has hit problems within 24 hours after anyone with a serious allergy to medicines or food was warned not to have the Pfizer jab because two NHS staff fell ill on V-Day.

The number of people set to be barred from having the Pfizer jab is not known, but up to 7million people in Britain have allergies severe enough to require specialist allergy care, according to the NHS, while around 250,000 people need to carry an EpiPen. "

Still feeling so confident?

Only you could become so excited over finding a few possibly adverse reactions. You keepin on trying to convince yourself..go for it,,you are pushing an open door,,,free country.

I'm not getting 'excited'...

You however continue to show your gullibility and an insane inability to think as an individual...

But hey, do what you're told...

Get the jab and take the risk (y)

Some non-entity on that non-entity ITV news program this morning saying that if someone cannot prove he/she has had the jab they will not be allowed in. With him all the way......... As for the jab "not stopping the spread" I would have thought that any sensible entity could see that. Anti-vaxxers will keep the virus going but only themselves and, eventually, there wont be any anti-vaxxers left.
