We're here to play Wimbledon, say Channel migrants | The Daily Mash
MIGRANTS in the English Channel are trying to enter the country in order to play in Wimbledon, they have claimed.
Following Novak Djokovic’s triumph against Australia’s legal system, migrants on Dungeness beaches are informing border officials they are seeded for the All England Lawn Tennis Championships.
Migrant Fawad Zahir said: “We’re early, but there’s qualifications and the Queen’s beforehand. Wimbledon’s not just one fortnight, you know.
“Many of us are unranked wildcards so we need all the preparation time we can get. Any one of us could be the English Djokovic.”
Fellow migrant Yasaman Yazdani said: “It seemed worrying when the Border Force pulled up alongside us, but we waved our rackets and they laughed, shook their heads at their own stupidity, and escorted us to land.
“A cheering throng lined the clifftops of Dover to welcome us. The English are famed for their hospitality to tennis players, but so heartwarming to see in real life.”
Border guard Stephen Malley said: “They’re not English, but as they pointed out neither is Andy Murray so there’s wiggle room.”

The judge ruled that he wasn't given 3hrs to defend himself. Just 1hr so treated unfairly.
Only defence he had if the rules Oz use are correct - people with a previous infection can go but must isolate for 2weeks. The tennis lot quickly back-pedalled yesterday by saying their ok to come doesn't imply that they legally can.
Seems the state may deport him anyway so some noisier demo's by a few so out comes the police with pepper sprays. Proof that he has been infected also sounds a bit lacking. No one is sure.

I can empathise with any country that can't actually prevent undesirables entering it. Bizarre.

What is worst is that Australians in Victoria, where the event is held, must all be vaccinated to play sport domestically.
He basically wants a new rule for himself, just because he's a millionaire antivaxxer with a team of lawyers.

If it was someone like Andy Murray in this situation I doubt it would cause such a fuss, but Serbians are somewhat difficult people and think Novac is a national hero, I also wonder what the Aussie Croatians think of it all, they and the Serbs were always at each others throats when I lived there, when they played football against each other it was a bloodbath.

Problem here is that some of the rules for entering were changed whilst he was in the air - or so I`ve read.
The reports of exactly when he was covid + and pictures of him in the folowing few days mixing with others are arent helping him either.
