Look, the penny has dropped. Trump is a psycho like Putin. Gosh, who would have thunk.

A european army would need a 'superpower' behind it or with it to have any clout at all, Macrons distancing himself from Trump, that leaves Russia or China. Hasn't Macron been making a lot of noise recently about how the EU should repair relations with Russia?, and let's face it, Germany is almost totally energy reliant on Russia.
I'd like to think The Donald is marginally less psychotic than Putin, maybe it's the hair.

I'm sure it would need a few nations behind it if it were to invade.

However, all that Europe needs is to be able to deter aggressors like the US, China and Russia. Each individual nations' defences need a helping hand.

Nice that she's changed your perspective but can't fathom out why you didn't know all this already?

It's quite simple, I've never come in to contact with anyone who volunteers or has first hand experiance of food banks. I assumed that they were for homeless people or drug addicts.

I have bought food for people who claim to be homeless when I've been out and about. Food yes money no.

I didn't realise it was the case as this lady told me that the percentage of people using them were ill people deemed 'fit to work'. She told me that people on these panels are pressured to kick people off of disability benefits .....Despite them having letters from consultants stating they are unfit to work.

Neither have I, yet I and daresay everyone else knows they are a crucial lifeline to people less fortunate than ourselves.
How anyone can be ignorant to that is more than a little worrying.
