HMRC have extended their rules which they applied to non EU countries in 2019 to EU countries. HMRC have done this unilaterally, there was no compunction to do so.

It isn't telling lies, if you express an intention, but then circumstance force you to change your plans.
Otherwise politicians would be the biggest liars on the planet.

What?
I can't hear you. Did you say they are anyway?

As for being miseries or having particular bees in bonnets, we all have that problem.
Some of us have bees in bonnets about politics, others have bees in bonnets about society, some have concerns about DIY/trades or planning issues in general, others like to stalk other individuals.
And Ellal is an ignorant unpleasant character who delights on needling, never joins in anything of a lighter moment, never shows any empathy, takes every opportunity to be unpleasant. No matter his problems no need to be a twát on here then go mod running when people react..

If people are alienated in usual discussions they will withdraw from those usual discussions. It's human nature and a natural repercussion of constant bickering.

If you cannot take it...do not dish it out is what you mean.

Who do you think is running the country (now that Cummings has moved)?

"A government spokesman said: “The new VAT model ensures ... that UK businesses are not disadvantaged by competition from VAT-free imports. The new system also addresses the problem of overseas sellers failing to pay the right amount of VAT when they sell goods in the UK. We anticipate this will bring in £300 million in tax every year to fund essential UK public services."

Almost as if this is government policy....

It also applies vice-versa.
So a double whammy for Brits.
Less spending in UK, and higher prices for EU goods.

Was this true?

He was chasing votes with lies and flannel.

"On 5 December 2019, the Prime Minister was asked on ITV’s This Morning: “How long will the trade deals take? Years?” To which Mr Johnson replied: “No, we will get many new deals with countries around the world, but with the EU, we can build a new free trade partnership by the end of next year”.

Years they've had, to sort it out.

Four years they've had, to sort it out.
And four years they were stalled and frustrated by all and sundry. Just think what position we would have been in right now if we went out when we voted to do so. All the arguing did was delay the inevitable for four years which did us more harm than good.

Yes, the Conservative party (which has been in power for eleven years) wasted a lot of time arguing with itself.

You'll remember Buffoon and Rice-Pudd and the Brextremists kept voting against every possible option

Buffoon objected to May's deal, then supported it, then said it was unacceptable, then agreed an almost identical one and told the nation it was great and oven ready, then said it was unacceptable and he intended Britain to break it.

I suppose all that nonsense and wasted time could have been avoided if the Brexers had agreed among themselves what they wanted, but they didn't, couldn't, and never will.
