Aren't you always claiming the UK owns nothing, so it's not our outsourcing anyway?
You can't have it both ways (y)
Show me where I've 'always claimed the UK owns nothing'...
(you won't because you can't)

We've 'outsourced' many of our manufacturing jobs, thus we (the UK) don't produce as many goods which require damaging fuel sources for production...

It used to be 'made in Britain' on many a label. Now try to find more than a small percentage...

Do keep up!

Just so that everyone knows it did happen.

As notch says, the joke is that this is what the water companies are effectively doing ( 20% leakage) whilst rewarding their (mainly foreign) shareholders!

Well maybe you could tell us what resources the UK has?

There is of course our dwindling oil supply (that we failed to invest like Norway), and a large amount of coal (that maggie flooded)...

But apart from that?

Can we feed ourselves? - no!
Can we provide our own power? - no!

We rely on foreign imports/investment and we have just decided to alienate ourselves from the biggest trading block around!

Does that make any sense to you?

So therefore the only 'resource' is us...

And we are (under the current 'business model') to be exploited as much as possible!

And who do you think invests in the UK railway system?

Check out who runs our rail companies before shooting yourself in the foot - yet again!

Then look at who the investors are for in our utility companies...

We are slowly 're-nationalising' our vital infrastructure...

Only it's foreign nations that are now in control, and unlike in Poland there are no benefits for the UK population!

there have been a few complaints ref' the Nissan leaf leccy car about re-charge times

apparently u cannot rapid charge them (40 mins) twice in a 24 hour period ? so if u go on a long journey

u could be waiting 4 hours to recharge said car

best take a blanket, flask and reading material to while away the possible 4 hours :)
