That's more the sphere of different advisors but he has added his twists.
One famous one that is pretty obvious is that they don't need to convince all just 51%. The basic idea of targetting groups with specific views, using social media etc and certain types of words to achieve this came from elsewhere. Slagging off the opposition has been around for far longer.Youtube seem to have taken on Russian and Chinese interference but no mention of similar groups in Europe or the USA. Their only answer to that really is to ban politics completely.

His view on eduction / iq is is pretty easy to appreciate. Like many things he looks at the past, doesn't work so change usually to some recent idea that might relate. On education he isn't considering why the 11+ was ended, then comprehensives and various other ideas. The reasons for the changes are beyond doubt but haven't fully worked so he doesn't look at why just wants to change to something else.
Seems to be test the genes this time but what to do with the resulting baby. Where that finishes up can have a very direct effect.Sponsored Links
Boris won't sack Cummings for the same reason he hasn't sacked any of the other members of his government.
Boris seems to prize loyalty above integrity, as long as the members of Boris's team are loyal to Boris and the team, then honesty and ability are not essential requirements for a job.

Sunak, Gove, Raab have all come out to defend Cummings. Just look how insane that is. ministers getting involved to support an unelected aid - now who really runs the show.
Sunak et al now have credit in the bank with Johnson and now they will use that credit to get more influence over policy matters. Hancock defending Cummings but putting Ferguson to the sword and saying its correct the Police are involved when it related to Feguson is simply trying to stave his inevtatable sacking.
The Public get the politicians they deserve - you gave these charlatans, liars and dilletantes an 80 seat majority.
Don't think so. As some have mentioned we are being governed by a cabinet. That means members mainly make decisions in their sphere with advisors of course.
As one mentioned - we want Boris back, he is the one that is good at talking. Doesn't seem to be so good off the cuff though.
While things like this are never so clearly simple some PM's have been more autocratic than others. There main function in cabinet meeting is being the chairperson. That is the person that summarises the collective view.
Seems Mrs T was inclined to bend the summary to suite her own views.In some respects all ministers are front men representing a group of advisers. For instance one person resigned as he wouldn't sack his. Advisers aren't elected. Politicians need to be good at achieving that. All they have really is opinions
