The beginning of the end?

someone who is far more qualified to comment

he said "it could be a “coincidence”

I don't know what epidemiological and viral infection qualifications he has. Do you?

More seriously on the link posted. I've only heard of a couple of death figures around here. 5 recently and 11 a couple of weeks ago. A weakening virus maybe an over simplification. Case rates are lower and it's now very noticeable around here that people are taking distancing seriously. :( just about when it's going to be changed - or is it. 2m outdoors doesn't cause too many problems really.

The hospital shown in the link. We have been told twice on local bbc news that it's for palliative care. None of the created overspill hospitals seem to have all of the gear that is needed for all outcomes.

That's a "no" then. You've switched very quickly from calling him "far more qualified."

For Covid - 19?

"Coronavirus-infected patients also ‘don’t seem as sick, on average, as they were’ says trust chief executive."

He added there could be signs the virus may be weakening, although cautioning patient numbers were so small it could be a “coincidence”.

Fingers crossed....
It's good he realises that the numbers are too small to be statistically significant, but it's disappointing that he's still referencing them.

There's a very good book that includes some stuff on it, Thinking fast and slow. Even people who know better rely too much on small sample sizes.

He also comments on the NHS app, but he's utterly wrong on it. He thinks Apple and Google aren't cooperating with each other and that's the problem, which isn't true.

Even the most highly qualified professionals don't really know enough about this disease.
The best advice they can come up with at the moment is stay at home and wash your hands.

And treat with dexamethasone for serious cases.

You won't, not because there is never more than one side but because you have an unhealthy political obsession that controls every single word you write on here and no doubt your entire sad life.
Very very wise...

He's forgotten more about medicine and disease, viruses included, than you'll ever glean from the pages of the Graun. He doesn't need to be an epidemiologist or a virologist to express a far more informed opinion than your uninformed opinion.

So care to share what makes you better informed to comment? Qualifications? Experience? You read a book one time?
