GERMANY has pressured the European Union's drug watchdog into fast-tracking authorisation for a coronavirus vaccine after days of complaints.

Health Minister Jens Spahn initially said he had received assurances from the European Medicines Agency (EMA) that a jab would be approved by December 23. The announcement comes after he called for the process to be sped up because the EU was already lagging behind Britain and the United States in rolling out a vaccine. On Sunday, he said: “All the necessary data on BioNTech are available.
“UK and US have already granted approval. An assessment of the data and approval by the EMA should happen as fast as possible.”
Since his rant, the EMA has announced it will complete its approval process of the Pfizer-BioNTech Covid jab by December 21.
The decision will now land eight days ahead of their previously planned date of December 29.

If America needs making great again, there's something wrong with it, and it's in a far worse place now than it was four years ago.

I suppose if it takes them 7 years to do a trade deal a vaccine's not going to be approved in a hurry. The German people are genuinely livid about this.

Foreigner hating Notters are trumpeting the UK's race to be the first European nation to vaccinate - trés noble. However, it will be those who are last to finish that will make the most difference. The UK is full of gullible populist idiots and flat earth right wing nut jobs, that will jeopardise our efforts to rid the UK of Covid.
