The railways are only franchised. When the franchises run out, don't give them to anyone else.

Company's former so-called profits, paid for by subsidies, saved at a stroke.

My referral was the fact alot of people dissed the Labour suggestion of renationalising our 'Broadband infra' which is a costly transition.

So Mottie have you digested how the Railways were shambolically privatised in the first place.

Now answer this question before we move on, private investors into the Railways have benefited from being sold assets cheaply and having a subsidy ontop Grayling ended contracts early saving some companies hundreds of millions. So should we pay market value for assets or not?
