A lot of "poverty" in the UK is created by regularly moving the goalposts, and some real child poverty is created by parents abysmal spending priorities.

If it was up to me I would line the 650 up and ask them the following
1. Have you got 20 years work experience ?
2. Have lived permanently in your constituency for 10 year?
If the answer to either of these questions is no then I would not let them put themselves up for re-election
And for those who have answered yes to these questions a further question would then be put
3. Do you have another paid job? Only medical practitioners would be allowed 2nd jobs
"We" aren't looking after the UK because we've already given the money to other countries.
"We" choose to fudge the UK over, out of nothing more than political ideology.
