After speaking to my 88 year old grandad earlier who passed his driving test in a tank  , I wondered what you guys passed in?

It was my own car, an E reg Ford escort 1.1 pop. Loved that car, passed first time too!

A BSM Vauxhall Corsa in 1997. Also passed first time (and 35/35 in the theory!)

A toyota starlet, past first time, 4 minor faults. NO THEORY!

Took a lot of getting used to a 'normal' car with the indicators on the left and the windscreens on the right after driving that pile of ****e!

A mini, way back in 1982 passed first go,also first go on my motorbike and also agriculture tractor that was further back in 1973.

"learned" to drive in 1981 in works van, a bedford HA, simply applied for provisional licence and stuck L plates on and my tradesman let me drive the van about all day, seems crazy now, but not then, passed my test in a nissan sunny, my instructors car, after 6 lessons, too old for theory test!!!!!

Triumph Toledo.

It was the colour of one week old butterscotch Angel Delight - the kind of lurid hue that only British Leyland could create.

Mine was a Mark II Escort Popular Plus. massive 1300 cc engine, ropey clutch and leaking windscreen. Perfect drive for me.

Avenger Tiger...

passed 3rd time - I wonder why..

The G/f Triumph Herald in 1969. almost failed as gears were different on reverse to my old mini 1000 which refused to start on day of the test. Passed first time.. Theory ! whats that?
