A man who gender reassigns, becomes a Trans Woman, importantly not a Woman. Whether you use the term gender or sex is irrelevant.

It is still relevant because each is a protected characteristic under the Equality Act

I think that is a separate argument to the one the court was looking at.

They were looking purely at the meaning of sex.
