So let's take last night's example, as that is what led to all this. Lirefighter asked a question about the Tavistock clinic. We both admitted that we didn't know the full details. I found an interesting article which gave some in depth background and I posted that article in a reply. Morqthana clarified an issue. As far as I was concerned, that was a good discussion, where we had all learnt something. But all JohnD was interested in was finding out the extent of Lirefighter's knowledge before we had our discussion. I thought that was very strange, so I then asked why that was important to him. I am genuinely interested in why somebody would be bothered by such things. But to you, that is an example of me sticking my oar in. There's nowt as strange as folk!

I don't understand this part about laws actively designed to discriminate against people with DSDs. Which laws. Could you explain this a bit more.

Any law which gives a particular sex any rights/protections/privileges by its nature discriminates against those people who have been forced into the other of only 2 sexes when they should not have been.

If a law erroneously says "there are only two sexes" in deliberate denial of the fact that there are more than two, and uses therefore bogus criteria to force someone into an inappropriate one then that is what I meant about "actively designed".

This would all matter a lot less were it not for the fact that the real issue is how transgender people are treated, be they mis-categorised in their sex assignment or have feelings of gender dysphoria etc, and the prejudice, bigotry, hatred, phobia, denial of their very existence and so on which they face from people who very often say "there are only two sexes" to try to justify their bigotry.

Just look at some of the people here who have been celebrating the recent Supreme Court ruling. And misunderstanding it.
