So here we are, 43 pages in, and you still aren't paying enough attention to have spotted that the thread was started on the basis of there being a legal decision that there are only 2 sexes and how that (in transphobic bigotland) means we (i.e. the society which the transphobic bigots want to wish into existence) can get on with dismissing trans people as either non-existent or totally unimportant.

Medical conditions, no matter how rare, show that the court's decision was scientifically flawed.

By definition a mistake cannot be intentional. If actions are intentional, but it later transpires that they were mistaken that doesn't mean that the people taking the actions intended to get t wrong.

But it does show that they made a choice of which direction to take someone, and, no matter how well-intentioned, made the wrong choice.

I can hear you saying that prison staff and related are afraid to lose their job for truthfully saying that a prisoner is dangerous.

Can we start with the basics, because I am still learning about this stuff.

My understanding is that there are only two genetic sexes. Even the exceptions you talk about i.e. those people with DSDs, are still genetically either male or female. There is no third genetic sex. Is that what you believe as well?

No, they followed the correct path at the time. They weren't saying "shall we make it a boy, or shall we make it a girl". they were correcting "conditions" in an already determined sex.
