If you do not accept that some do not fit into the binary concept of male or female, then you are not open to alternatives despite your claim to do so.I'm open to alternatives, but not at birth.
As people grow up and realise their recorded sex at birth was incorrect gives rise to the problems and such discussions as this one.As people grow up I fully accept that questions may arise, and I don't think it's a mental illness. I support everyone's rights to be who they want to be, within the law of course.
