Electric cars would solve most f the problems he raises (air pollution).

Reweables/nuclear would provide the power of course, along with gas with carbon capture, and a smeg load of connections with our neighbours.

I wonder what the energy requirement is for 30 million cars. A tad more than existing supply I would guess.

Electric cars create their own environmental issues, rare earth materials like neodymium.

Not realistic in 10 years.

Supercharger can give 1000 miles of charge per hour
Electric car firm says new V3 Supercharger system will cut Model 3 charge times in half

Yeah, it's a bit like the UK claiming that it is sticking to climate change targets...

When it's switched industrial production to China/Asia instead!

Outsourcing of emissions!

Aren't you always claiming the UK owns nothing, so it's not our outsourcing anyway?
You can't have it both ways (y)

Hydrogen powered cars

BMW afaik are putting a lot of money into R&D

Hydrogen powered boilers using the existing gas net work

Leccy cars dreamt up by old farts

Bought by old farts
:) Driven by old farts :)

Tis a foreign conspiracy

It's not what George is saying.. He wants rid of cars. According to his headline
I know. He's wrong.

Cars are important.

While I am lucky, as I can bike to work, most are not so privileged. Even I need the car when I'm shopping for something that won't fit on the bike, so cars are here to stay.

Unless we want to work from home and order everything online, and we never leave home. In which case there'll be delivery vans everywhere rather than cars.

Amyone who thinks the future of mankind is more and more cars with basically 1 person in,,commuting and fekin around being lazy, is completely mental.

Getting rid of all those silly american, over the top gas guzzlers would be a good start. ;)
