Foodbanks .... I got well and truly educated..... drop something in the supermarket contributions

It has to be pointed out that this decline in living standards has really gained pace while the UK has been a member of the EU.
So much for the myth that the EU is a guarantor of workers rights.

Hahah

Its due to Austerity.

A new year, but the same old stupid reasoning...

Living standards have risen in most other EU countries, so why is that?

Oh that's right, it's the UK government that decides the policies that affect the UK population just as other EU governments decide the policies that will affect their populations...

Dumb quitters as usual don't understand that it is our own government that wishes to impose austerity upon us, not the EU...

But then dumb quitters will still be blaming the EU in 50 years time!

Do you remember the times before?

Think we were better off then? No way.
I remember the days when you could get cheap Anchor Butter and N. Zealand Lamb nowadays its overpriced Olive oil and French horsemeat in your Lasagne from Tescos.

Contributing food is not solving the problem, its perpetuating it.

The same ones on here defending foodbanks want to absolve themselves of their guilt by putting a few items of shopping in a collection.

By extension their should be no need for any charity in a nation that can afford to centrally fund the things charities raise cash for.

And 3 day working week, no electricity.

Immense amounts of paperwork to send anything anywhere in Europe, especially if it crossed multiple borders.

And smog, and inflation. And lots more.

We were a basket case!
Yeah but no foodbanks and still a functioning NHS.

Try telling that to Greece, Portugal, Spain, Italy, and Ireland. All of whom were on the receiving ends of austerity diktats from Brussels in exchange for Bailouts.
