disappointing to hear that UK employers behave so badly.

Perhaps we need a realistic minimum wage so that working people can make a decent living.

Suggest it to your MP.

John, you do know that our minimum wage is one of the highest in Europe, you do know that don't you?

These hard working Europeans are still here or are they all going home?
Well seasonal workers will have gone home, but there's still, at the moment, a net influx of EU citizens.

But the rate of EU citizens leaving has gone up by around half since 2016, and we haven't even started being difficult yet, so it wouldn't surprise me if we started having more leave than arrive in 2021.

Then maybe just maybe the likes of JohnD and Nosedive need to stop telling them that 52% of this country hates them.... I don't want them going home..

Your country needs you now Mottie. For the 'effort' and all that. Pritti has made it clear that doddering old gammons are going to fill the gap left by hard working Europeans.

Seriously.
I’ll have to pass on that. I stuck my neck under a wing today to change a window washer pump and my back went so I might struggle lifting a 20 stone incontinent up to change an incontinence pad! They’ll have to pay a big strong Eastern European £25,001 a year to do that

You'd better show your figures to Tranny. He claims that UK employers

Er no I never said that but since u mention it
There seems to be a practice that is beginning to. Gain some type of momentum in the UK

No, the people who are hostile to foreigners have done that.

John, the UK minimum wage is one of the highest in Europe. Fact.

Tradesmans wages have been driven down by an influx of cheap Eastern European labour. Fact.

These are two quite separate things, what part of that do you find difficult to understand?

wages have been driven down

Over the last ten years, wages have not grown in real terms.

The taxpayer subsidises bad employers by topping up the income of some people when they cannot earn even enough to live in poverty.

I see you choose to blame workers, for low wages.

I'm sure you've seen what Winston Churchill had to say about bad employers when they have the freedom to pay low wages, and worse employers when they have the freedom to pay even less.

You are blaming the wrong people.
