individuals with underlying health concerns. making them more susceptible to serious repercussions.
So what's your criteria?

After all the government hasn't got a bloody clue, and changes it's advice daily!

Men

People around retirement or older

overweight and obese people

people with high blood pressure

people with breathing problems
Define those conditions more accurately (apart from gender)...

I'll save you a bit of time - you can't!

Mind you, it might be worth checking out the numbnuts in CC ;)

Schools re-opened in 22 European countries back in May. Ours are still largely shut and the Unions and teachers are bleating about the fact they may re-open in September.
The economy can't recover until parents/workers have childcare/schools.

You truly are a tool when the Unions are actually stronger in the EU. The Government has dropped the ball - the problem is we have kids crammed into our classes in buildings that are in need of repair after a decade of cuts. If we didnt have austerity inthe UK to the extent we did then our schools and NHS would have been better able to cope with this situation but yeah keep blaming the wrong people and defending this shower of s hite.

Face facts fillybot.

If the public didn't have consistently higher demands for public funding through various outlets with whatever is the woke and nouveau cause of the moment then austerity wouldn't have to happen.

There is literally so many reasons as to why spending had to be curbed.

If we didn't have austerity our taxes would have to increase significantly which they are now likely going to have to due to covid and the stupid idea to go ahead with hs2,

You are just making stuff up now. Ridiculous. Might as well blame it on pixies and fairy dust. (y)

Austerity - Tory style for the last decade was ideologically driven - it was way more harsher than was required and the results are in a decade of poor wage growth, productivity etc. Councils on verge of going under because of cuts and been given more responsibility which now in the light of covid has been shown to be another idiotic ideologically driven mess.

You need to actually look at facts and not fiction.

As to austerity - what were we actually paying for? Was it joe public who caused it?

So why did we need to cut services?

I am.
The facts are that in 22 European countries the schools re-opened in May, our teachers and their unions are still fighting against re-opening in September.
Are you really suggesting this is all because the guttering needs replacing?

Don't so absurd, money doesn't grow on trees.

We had to bail out the banks bank's as that would have been worse than what came after it.

It's not just the Tories fault it was also preceding governments.

There is quite literally hundreds of reasons as to why we had to have austerity measures.

We had to pay back the money borrowed by previous governments otherwise the potential for the country to end up like Greece was very real.

Maybe you should look at the facts rather than just blame it on 1 thing

Making a straw man as usual.

The Government can print money - you really need to understand how money is created and enters the economy.

lol and lol

Can you tell me how much our borrowing cost was prior to 2008 as a percentage of Government spending.

You still cannot find a stron argument other than basing Government finance on your own understanding of personal finance - it is not.

Hundreds of reaons yet you cannot name even a few.

I suggest you learn a bit more about how the economy works.

And if the government prints an infinite amount of money it becomes worthless and we'd have ended up with a currency like the Indian rupee where 75 rupee equals 1 dollar.

I'm not stupid and have a very good grasp on how economies work.

Clearly by your comment of just print more money you do not.

Stop wasting my time and come up with something a bit better

All I’m saying is that when I heard this on the news, I knew it would make a couple regulars on here rub their hands with glee. I wasn’t wrong.

The straw man of infinite money - know you have lost the argument with arguments like that.

Sorry you don't.

You’ll never see them stick up for a white working class lad.

You clearly have no clue mate when you posted this.

Tens of millions of the poorest suffered from austerity whilst the richest profited...

But a quick shake of the 'magic money tree' has suddenly provided more funds than was cut in the previous decade...

The tories have killed more UK citizens than covid, and will continue to do so!
