Christmas cancelled in Essex

Its what they should have done all along, the fact they've done it now well whatever i don't care it had to be done. We are in the middle of a pandemic **** happens things change.

Check the stats. Everywhere around the world is ****ed. The LAST thing we need is ****s on here trying to wind people up.
What a year for Boris. With the pressure on him, I would have cracked long ago.

Pubs (and other "hospitality" establishments) have been closed oop North for most of the year, and yet this bug continues to spread - if you believe the hype that is.

It's not the pubs spreading this disease.

Most probably won't be reopening. It's almost as if the government are trying to destroy the hospitality industry. Too many people taking as gospel the propaganda from government and mainstream media.

Only a little blip now. Nothing massively out of order for winter. Certainly not worth crashing the economy for. Haven't seen any scenes of busy hospitals yet, and the Nightingales were never used. I visited a Covid isolation ward on at least 8 occasions over a three week period very recently and there was no panic, no rushing around, no people on ventialtors in the corridors. Actually seemed quite quiet. Likewise the testing station outside. I wouldn't swallow everything that the government and mainstream media wants us to. Now they're focusing our attention on a 'new strain' that "could' be up to 70% more virulent. Note the word "could". They're making this stuff up on the hoof. They're always basing their 'policies' on worst case scenarios that strangely never materialise.

Maybe where you are, but hospitals are full here, trollies in corridors, operations cancelled, and more cases everyday.

Really? How about when the government 'experts' tried to justify introducing the November lockdown by saying 4,000 people per day 'could' die? Then they were told not to use that projection because it was out of date. There may have been larger numbers early in the year, but looked at from an objective view, the 'pandemic' is over.

Where's the justification for trashing the economy here -

Anyone who unquestioningly hopes a prime minister, who is an inveterate liar, can save them from a pandemic that isn't really a pandemic now by completely trashing the economy and making millions unemployed for a virus with a 99.5% survival rate that is only really fatal to mainly over 80s with co-morbidities - is really the one who's off their rocker.

The ward I was visiting is in Bristol. At the time Bristol was supposed to be having a large increase in numbers, whereas it got off lightly in March to May. I did see it busy March to May, but was actually quieter now when we were supposed to be experiencing large numbers.

I’ve got Mrs Mottie crying her eyes out. I feel like joining her. :(

My wife and my mum are the same, so upset, especially after Boris statement earlier in the week.

I most feel sorry for my boy this year, everything we had planned over the course of the year has been cancelled, first his birthday party got cancelled, the holiday abroad, trip to Thomas land, then to Lego land, then we had a polar express trip planned, then we had a breakfast with santa.

We got to the point we wasn't telling him about any more visits as he we got fed up of disappointing him.

Then bojo said Xmas wasn't being cancelled and so we told him about the plans for Xmas and he was so excited about seeing his cousin, and grandparents.

Now to be let down again.

Just so sick and tired of it now..

But we need to do it to keep safe and ensure we (family and friends) are here next xmas

You really think he wants to trash the economy, we are just going into brexit. Id like to see anybody else do a better job than he has running this country.

Hes made mistakes, plenty of them but so would anyone else.
