Dog's and beds

I've said we can get one, but it has to be a proper medium sized dog, not some cat sized dog and my other rule is not in the bedroom. My understanding is that they tend to be c*** blockers? or get confused about their role and place in the pack if they sleep on the bed.

You need a BC - very intelligent, they'll walk all day long, cheeky, massive characters, very family oriented and when out will round up your kids, like sheep.

If your wanting a dog then go for one that does not shed it's hair.

Both mine do and its terrible to keep up with, a vacuum killer.

Except the shed lots of fine hair.

Border collies bite, never, or never in my experience of them.

Yard owners here have a medium sized cockerpoodle, these dont shed hair, have what is known as a soft mouth so dont bite and clamp down like some dogs do and has loads of character.

Border collies bite, never, or never in my experience of them.

My neighbour had one, ok when he was around but really snappy if he wasn't , had a go at his builder too

I quite like some of the xxx-poodle breeds, but I hear Labradoodles are a bit challenged personality wise and high maintenance.

Ex Bro in law had to have his put down, went from being lovely to snarling monster within 2 years.
Dont get a border collie either, they need a lot of mental stimulation.

Way too much work keeping a dog unless you need one for personal comfort, support or protection.

I was working in a farmhouse, they had three dogs, BC, Lab and a terrier, the owner was going out and he put the terrier in a shed, the other two dogs were fine with me, following me about and sitting watching what I was doing. The owners daughter came home from school and let the terrier in, the mood changed instantly, started barking and growling at me which started the other two off, I had to threaten to walk out unless she locked them up somewhere

It might’ve been an undomesticated working terrier …most terriers have a strong prey drive.
Jack Russells, a common terrier and often used for rat catching can be sweet, but they can also be pretty nasty

As much as I love alfie I don't think I will get another GSD, our next dog is going to have to be one of those horrible little ankle biting things that need little walking.
We are no longer upto the task of big walks unfortunatly.

I can imagine they need big walks, a large GSD is pretty huge and 40kg

My dog is extremely cute looking and always attracts people, she is great with people but problem is she has a massive lead aggression issue and she can’t go near any other dog.

Also she walks too slowly

my Mother In Law has a Cavapoo (Cavalier King Charles Spaniel + Poodle)….fantastic temperament
